Relay test systems
Specialist test systems require qualified personnel and an approved protection test scope.
What to compare
- Current and voltage channels required by the test plan
- Relay protocol and software compatibility
- Timing, binary input/output, and report capability
- Firmware and configuration control
- Manufacturer training, support, and calibration
Application boundary
A test set does not define the approved protection settings or authorize changes to a live protection system.
Before purchasing
Confirm the approved test method, instrument ratings, compatible leads, calibration support, and operator training. Use current manufacturer documentation. Specialist systems may require a manufacturer or specialist supplier rather than a general marketplace.
