Identify the detector type
CHANCE describes multiple detector types and application contexts. Detector technology, AC/DC scope and connection/interface compatibility matter. Keep the exact detector and accessory models in the record.
An indication has an application boundary
A non-contact indication or a generic tester search is not by itself a verified absence-of-voltage result. Follow the facility approved verification process and current instructions for the actual instrument; this note does not supply a field sequence.
Retain verification evidence
Record instrument inspection, applicable verification/proving reference and work-control records. Missing context stays unresolved; it must not silently become an OK result.
